Dr. Collins' development started as some would call a third culture-former military kid. She was born in England, attended K-3rd grade in Japan, and journeyed to Korea, Hawaii, Illinois, and California, before her family firmly planted their roots in Ohio. She is a National Certified Counselor (NCC), Board Certified Tele-mental Health Provider (BC-TMH), Professional Clinical Counselor and Clinical Supervisor. Currently, she is the owner of Developing ME! Counseling & Consulting, LLC her sport counseling and psychology private practice. Her experiences as a military kid, and high achiever in both music and Division I collegiate athletics ignited her passion for working with high performers within and throughout tactical populations, the arts, higher education, city government, medicine, faith-based organizations, as well as the sports arena. Dr. Collins is a leader, supervisor, consultant, clinician, educator, advocate, and minister of music.

Dr. Collins experience includes twelve-plus years in youth, recreation, collegiate, and professional sports in addition to close to ten years in higher education. Positions held include recruitment and retention of
minority undergraduate and graduate students, athlete development, Athletic Academic Advisor, Tutor Coordinator, Assistant Athletics Director, and Assistant to the Athletic Director. In addition to being listed on the NFLPA clinician directory she has
 worked in various treatment settings from schools to outpatient and residential treatment centers. Dr. Collins has also served as a mental health therapist and performance consultant for the University of Louisville, the University of Missouri, and the University of Cincinnati’s sports medicine and athletics departments.

Dr. Collins completed her Ph.D. in 2022 in Counselor Education and Supervision with a Multicultural and Social Justice Cognate at the University of Cincinnati. Her dissertation research was entitled: 'A
Narrative Exploration into the Intersection of Division I Black Student-Athlete Environment,
Identity, and Mental Health'. Dr. Collins was also awarded Outstanding Doctoral Student of the
Year by the College of Education, Criminal Justice, Human Services, and Information
Technology (CECH). Other awards include the Mizzou Made Staff of the Year which is an
award-nominated by the student-athletes and voted upon by the student-athlete athletic council
(SAAC), the 2018-2019 Emerging Leader award by the American College Counselors
Association (ACCA), in addition to awards for musical performances nationwide starting at eight
years old. She received her Master of Science in Education (M.S.Ed) in Clinical and Mental Health
Counseling from the University of Dayton in 2016 in addition to completing a 2-year certificate
in Supervisor/Management from NC State University. Additional education includes a Master of
Science (M.S.) in Coaching Education/Athletic Administration in 2003 and a Bachelor of
Science (B.S.) in Sports Sciences from Ohio University in 2002 where she was awarded a full
athletic scholarship as a member of the women’s basketball team.
